Art Tour to the Whitney Museum
Saturday October 26, 11:00 a.m.
Join us for a private tour of the Whitney Museum and enjoy an insider's view of the groundbreaking Renzo Piano building, the setting for the Museum's exceptional collections of 20th century and contemporary American art.
The tour will feature masterpieces from the permanent collection, and will discuss how the Whitney's new location—situated between the High Line and the Hudson River in the vibrant and artistic Meatpacking District—engages the creative world of today, yet harks back to the Museum's origins in the 1930s when it was founded by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney in Greenwich Village.
The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Westside Bagels, with complimentary coffee and bagels, before we board the 8:31 train. Whether traveling with our group or independently into New York, everyone will assemble at the Museum at 10:45 for our private tour.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot today. Tickets are $45. RAF Members at the Gold and Platinum Palette levels receive complimentary admission.
